Wolverines edge Stamps for second straight game

This game had a bit more scoring, but at the end of the day, same result for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

Waywayseecappo beat the Swan Valley Stampeders by a score of 2-1 behind another great performance by Tresor Wotton, stopping 30 shots in the contest.

It was the second straight win over the Stampeders for the Wolverines, who jumped into first place in the West Division with a one point lead over OCN.

Lucas Eagle and Carosn Baptiste scored the goals for the Wolverines in the contest. Eagle scored his goal in the first period, while Baptiste got his 22nd of the season six seconds into the third period. His goal ended up being the winner.

The Stampeders will leave the weekend with only one goal scored, and it was scored by Adam Rajsigl in the first period to tie the game up. In total, Wotton stopped 75 shots over the weekend and only let one in.

The Wolverines are now heading to Winnipeg to play the Blues for the first time all season, on Friday and Saturday.
