The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have announced the entire schedule for the 2023-24 season, which will be the 25th season in franchise history.
The season starts at home on Friday, September 22nd, when the Wolverines host the Neepawa Titans at the Waywayseecappo Arena at 7:30pm. The next night, the team will travel to Niverville to take on the Nighthawks at 7:00pm to conclude the opening weekend.
The Wolverines will face the Virden Oil Capitals on Saturday, September 30th for their third annual game on National Truth and Reconciliation Day. The night features free admission and the team will wear orange jerseys for the contest.
Schools will be invited for a game on Tuesday, October 17th as the Wolverines host the Swan Valley Stampeders at 12:30pm. This will be the second straight year that the team will do a school game.
The Wolverines will play two games in Portage la Prairie for the MJHL Showcase on October 24th and October 25th. They will take on the hometown Portage Terriers on the 24th at 5:00pm, and the Selkirk Steelers on the 25th at 4:00pm.
The team will play at home on Thursday, January 4th this season, which is on National Ribbon Skirt Day. They take on the OCN Blizzard.
On Louis Riel Day, the Wolverines will host the Neepawa Titans for a matinee game, at 4:00pm. That will conclude the long weekend in February.
The team’s 25th season concludes on Sunday, March 17th 2024, when the Wolverines host the Virden Oil Capitals at 6:00pm.
