Streaks on the line as Wolverines take on Terriers

Two three game winning streaks are on the line as the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Portage Terriers play a back to back this weekend.

The Wolverines have bounced back after a three game losing streak to win three in a row and claw their way back into contention for first place in the West Division, only trailing Dauphin by four points.

For the Terriers, they are tied for 4th in the East with Selkirk with 23 points after winning three games in a row and grabbing points in 8 of  their past 10 games.

The most interesting battle for the upcoming contests will be on special teams, as the Wolverines top ranked powerplay will be going up against the third best penalty kill in the league. On the other side, the Terriers are ranked dead last in the powerplay, while the Wolverines have been faltering on their penalty kill and sit in 10th in the league.

The first of two matchups will happen in Portage at 7:30pm on Friday night. The two teams will then head to Waywayseecappo on Saturday for the game at 7:30pm.
