One week ago, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines were three points up on the Neepawa Titans for the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division, but to start this week, the Wolverines are now one point back after two losses and Neepawa getting two wins.
But the two teams might flip flop once more to start the week as the two teams play each other in Neepawa on Tuesday for the final time this season.
The Titans have three games this week as well, of course the first one is against Waywayseecappo, but they later play the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday and the Virden Oil Capitals on Saturday night.

It’s a bit disappointing that this game will be taking place three weeks out of the end of the season, but the game will definitely set the tone for last three weeks. Both teams have an equally tough end of the season, and Neepawa being three points up on the Wolverines before the weekend might be enough to cross the finish line first.
For the Wolverines, jumping back into a spot will give them a good head start for the final eight games. Even an overtime win gives the Wolverines the edge thanks to winning the season series, but will only come into play if the two teams are tied at the end of the season.
If Monday’s 4-2 win for the Wolverines over the Titans was the biggest game of the season, then Tuesday’s game in Neepawa has now replaced it.

The Wolverines start a back to back with the Selkirk Steelers, a team that is also fighting for their playoff lives.
Selkirk has a more of a hill to climb than the Wolverines do, as they are four points back of Niverville for the final playoff spot in the East Division.
The two teams have played twice this year, with the teams splitting the season series so far.
