The Waywayseecappo Wolverines lost some cushion in the playoff race on their day off on Friday, as the Neepawa Titans came back in miraculous fashion to beat the Selkirk Steelers 6-5 in overtime.
The win by Neepawa, puts them just one point back of the Wolverines on Saturday, before both teams are set to play. The Titans take on the Swan Valley Stampeders on Saturday night. For the Wolverines, they head to The Pas to take on the Blizzard.
The Wolverines have lost every game to the Blizzard this season, and have only managed to get one point off of them thanks to a shootout loss right before Christmas.
But Waywayseecappo have won eight of their last ten games, and are looking to keep momentum so they control their own destiny in the playoff race.
For the Blizzard, they are tied up in a battle with the Dauphin Kings for 2nd in the West Division. They have won their last five games, which included a win over the Winkler Flyers.
