Wolverines looking to get back on track against Steelers

After a chaotic week in the MJHL, all the teams are going back to playing two games during the week, and the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Selkirk Steelers will face off twice in three days.

Both teams will meet up after only winning one of their last four games over the course of last week.

The Wolverines were beat by the Steinbach Pistons and Winnipeg Freeze before splitting with the Winnipeg Freeze.

The Steelers lost to Virden twice and beat them once, and lost to Swan Valley.

Even with the split, the Wolverines continue to score and added a goal scorer last weekend when they brought in Kolton Shindle who had 5 points in his debut. But a defencemen leads the team in scoring with Lonan Bulger having 29 points this season.

The Steelers are sitting in 4th place in the East Division, five points up on Portage for a playoff spot.

The Wolverines are sitting comfortably in second place in the West and are 8 points back of Dauphin for first.

The two teams play Thursday in Waywayseecappo before they head to Selkirk on Saturday.
