Wolverines announce coaching changes

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have announced that there has been a change to the coaching staff ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Former Associate Coach Josh Lee will not be returning to the bench for the upcoming season.

Lee has served as the assistant bench boss for the past five seasons, joining Head Coach Taylor Harnett’s staff before the 2018-19 season. He helped propel the Wolverines to one of the franchise’s best five year stretch in team history, helping the team to three playoff berths, including the team’s most points per game in the 2021-22 season.

We wish Josh and his wife Shea all the best in the future.

Moving forward the Wolverines are excited with their new coach hires, in Landyn Cochrane and Grayson Neufeld taking over the new roles.

Cochrane is a former Wolverine, playing with the team for three whole seasons from 2014 to 2017, before ending his junior career with the Virden Oil Capitals in 2018.

The Russell, MB product, played for Minot State University for the past four seasons, finishing up his post-secondary career with a national championship last season.

As for Neufeld, he joins the Wolverines after three seasons with Minot State University as well. The Yorkton, SK product worked with the Yorkton Terriers last season.

We welcome Landyn and Grayson to the Wolverines organization.
