Bulger heads to Hobart

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines 2021-22 defencemen of the year. Lonan Bulger, will be going to Hobart and William Smith College next season.

Bulger has committed to play for the Hobart Statesman in the New England Hockey Conference, a league in the NCAA Division III.

“It’s a top ranked team,” says Bulger. “Their head coach is really good, and has a great record, so I thought it was a good fit for me.”

The Yellowknife, Northwest Territories product was second in team scoring last season with 61 points (12 goals, 49 assists) and second in defencemen scoring for the MJHL. He also was named to the MJHL Second Team All-Star. It was his third and final season with the Wolverines.

“It was nice to stay with one team for the entirety of my junior career, because many players don’t get to do that,” says Bulger about his time with the team. “It was a very good experience for me.”

The Wolverines would like to congratulate Lonan Bulger on this great accomplishment, and thank him for everything he has done for the organization.
