Wolverines Prepare For Inter-League Tilt With Yorkton Terriers

Fresh off of a 3-2 win over the Neepawa Natives on Wednesday night, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines will travel to Yorkton on Thursday night for an interleague matchup against the SJHL’s Terriers.

As training camp continues to roll on, the Wolverines will ice more of a veteran lineup with the regular season approaching on September 20.

Featured in tonight’s roster will be returning veterans, Anthony Bilka, Jaymes Knee, Thomas Hansell, Dylan Soosay, Ryley Cardinal, Austin Cardinal, Preston Seymour, Jack Kennedy, Jack Tonnies, and Alex Lucken.

A trio of mid-summer trade acquisitions will also suit up for the Wolverines on Thursday night, including FWD Noah Westgate, D Matt Kasowski, and Goaltender, Thomson Phinney.

Rounding out the Wolverines roster will be Matthew Swanson, Charlie Kashmark, Kieran Thiessen, Landon Flesjer, Lonan Vincent Bulger, Chase Fischer, and Liam Tereposky.

Thursday nights’ matchup will be the second straight year these two clubs have met in the preseason, with the Wolverines taking a 1-0 victory on home ice last year.

In the lineup for the Terriers will see, one 20-year-old, eight 19-year-olds, and eleven 18-year-olds. Yorkton is fresh off of a preseason game themselves, having dropped a 6-3 decision to the Weyburn Red Wings on Wednesday night in Weyburn.
