Wolverines get blown out by Kings

It was another tough game for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines as they dropped a 7-2 decision to the Dauphin Kings on Friday night.

The Wolverines gave up five goals in the opening ten minutes, and couldn’t get much of a comeback going throughout the rest of the game.

Dauphin got the scoring started when Logan Walker got one past Marek Andres 2:26 into the game.

After a Wolverines double minor, Logan Walker scored another to make it 2-0 in the opening five minutes.

The Kings scored another 39 seconds later when Jordan Bax scored to make it 3-0.

The Wolverines got on the board when Jackson Roth got one past Cole Sheffield on the team’s first shot of the night.

But it didn’t take long for the Kings to regain their three goal lead when Ethan Williment got his second of the year just 58 seconds later.

Madden Murray was the goal scorer to get Andres pulled from the game and the Kings took a 5-1 lead.

The Wolverines got one more back before the intermission as Ben Roulette was able to get a favourable bounce in the Kings net.

After the first period, the Kings got two more goals in the last two periods by Jordan Bax to get a hat trick for the game.

Jase Wareham stopped 24 of 26 shots for the rest of the game. Sheffield stopped 25 of 27 for the win. He is now 9-0 on the season.

The Kings powerplay was a successful  3/7 in the contest, while the Wolverines were 0/4.
