Wolverines announce final assistant captain selections

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have announced their final captain selections after wearing their brand new white jerseys on Tuesday night.

Neo Kiemeney and Aiden Moser have been named assistant captains along with Team Captain Guerin Apperley, and assistants Owen Wheatley, Owen Pringle and Sam McPeak.

Neo Kiemeney has been having a solid season, so far putting up nine goals and seven assists in 22 games after being acquired by the team in the offseason.

“I’m honoured to be recognized by the coaching staff and teammates,” said Kiemeney. “I’m going to continue to lead on and off the ice and be there for my teammates.”

For Aiden Moser, he has also put up great numbers scoring four goals and delivering 12 assists so far this season, including putting up 11 points in his last 10 games.

“It feels great (to be named assistant captain),” said Moser. “To be able to help lead the team through a season of highs and lows, and being a person that players can look up to. It keeps me accountable as well.”
