The Waywayseecappo Wolverines were led by the line of Ben Roulette, Jack Clarke and Sean Williams on the way to a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Blues.
The line of the three players combined for a total of eight points in the game, as the Wolverines snapped their four game losing streak.
The Wolverines tarted their scoring early in the first when Luc Cernohous scored his first MJHL goal when he got a second shot at a slap shot from the board and was able to beat Blues goaltender Jeff Dreger.
It wasn’t until the second period until the Wolverines scored again when Ben Roulette was given a shorthanded goal when Dreger gave up the puck and Clarke was able to feed it to Roulette for the 2-0 lead.
Roulette scored again a few minutes later, this time on the powerplay, when he was able to pick up a rebound to make it 3-0.
The Blues scored their first goal when Matthew Dewey got his first MJHL goal late in the second period.
In the third period, Sean Williams was able to jump on a rebound and get it by Dreger to make it 4-1.
Jack Clarke later ripped a one timer to make it 5-1, before Dewey picked up his second of the game to make it a final 5-2 game.
Caleb Allen stopped 27 shots in the win, while Dreger stopped 31 in the loss.
The Wolverines next game will be on Saturday in Portage as they face the Terriers at 7:30pm.
