Perrin Signs with Wolverines

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are excited to announce that Colby Perrin has signed a letter of intent to play for the Wolverines in the 2021-22 season.

The 17-year-old from Edson, Alberta will be coming to the team after playing for the Leduc Oil Kings Under-18 team last season. He also played for the team this year, but in only one game before the season was shut down because of COVID-19.

Perrin amassed 14 points in 30 games as a 16-year-old defencemen during the 2019-20 season. He was also named the captain for the club.

Perrin will be coming to the team knowing a few Wolverines players already, saying he was told about the organization from Wolverines Carson Baptiste and Leyton Smith (from Edson as well).

Perrin says that the things that attracted him to the Wolverines organization was the dedication from the team, the fans, billets and everyone else involved with the team.

“I’m very dedicated to the game of hockey, and I’ve heard the group is very tight, and I love hearing that.”

Assistant Coach for the Wolverines, Josh Lee, says he is looking forward to Perrin joining the team.

“He makes a great first pass and gets shots through from the blue line,” said Lee.

“He possesses what we look for on and off the ice.”
