Boucher heads to University of Manitoba

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are happy to announce that Captain Andrew Boucher has committed to the University of Manitoba of U Sports for the 2023-24 season.

Boucher played three seasons with the Wolverines, putting up 97 points (31 goals, 66 assists) in 91 games. He was named captain of the team in his third season, and led the team in scoring until an injury halfway through the season sidelined him until he was able to come back with six games remaining in the season. He put up 51 points in 36 games, good for third in the MJHL with points per game with 1.42.

On what he will remember about his time in Waywayseecappo, Boucher recalls on the people he met over his time with the program.

“I’ll remember all of of the amazing people I met there, from teammates to coaches to all the staff, and my billets,” said Boucher.

Boucher said he is playing for the Bisons because it’s a good hockey program, good for schooling and close to his hometown of Morden, Manitoba. He will be going to school for a business degree.

The Wolverines would like to congratulate Andrew on joining the Bisons, and thank him for everything he has done for the organization.
