In the second part of the MJHL season, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be going through their West Division opponents once again, and it starts with a battle with the OCN Blizzard.
The four-game series between the two teams was at time a testy affair, which it ended up with a Wolverines four game sweep. Waywayseecappo was able to win two close games in The Pas, and two dominating wins at home during the four games in October.
Since then, the Wolverines have battled it out with the Dauphin Kings for first in the West Division, while OCN has battled it up for the third and fourth position in the West. But at this moment, the Blizzard sit in 6th, six points back of a playoff spot.
OCN has lost six of their last seven games, including losing twice in Selkirk by a combined score of 16-4.
As one team experienced their lowest point of the season, the Wolverines might have experienced their highest point of the season beating a surging Winkler Flyers twice over the last weekend in big, playoff-atmosphere games.
The two teams are scheduled to play three straight games, with the first two in Waywayseecappo and the third game in OCN. The first game that was supposed to be played on Friday January 21st has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later time.
