The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have traded for defenceman Nate Lazarus from the Greater Sudbury Cubs from the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for a player development fee.
Lazarus (’06), from Moose Factory, Ontario, has played for the Cubs the last two seasons, and helped the team win the NOJHL Championship in both years, eventually playing in nine games at the Centennial Cup. In 78 games in Greater Sudbury, Lazarus had 38 points (5 goals, 33 assists) in 78 games.
Lazarus also played with Team Ontario in the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in 2023 and 2024.
