Wolverines start season at home against Virden

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will start the 2025-26 season with two games against the Virden Oil Capitals, including the Home Opener on September 19th at the Waywayseecappo Arena.

The two teams will meet just months after a tense playoff push featuring both teams that ended up with the Wolverines clinching a playoff spot on the final day of the season, eliminating the Oil Capitals and clinching the final playoff spot by two points in the West Division.

The two teams split the season series last year 3-3, with both teams winning two games at home and one on the road.

After starting the season at home, the Wolverines will head to Virden the next night, September 20th, to play at the Tundra Oil & Gas Place.

This will be third straight season the Wolverines have played their first game at home, and first time they have played Virden to start off the season since 2022.
