The 2025-26 season is finally here for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, and they start on home ice against the Virden Oil Capitals.
The two teams were neck and neck last year fighting for the final playoff spot in the MGEU West Division. Eventually the Wolverines prevailed, clinching the final playoff spot on the final day of the season, before losing in five games to the Dauphin Kings in the first round of the playoffs.
Both teams will look to get their season off to a good start instead of leaving it to the final moments this year.
The two teams will meet again on Saturday in Virden, as the Oil Capitals have their Home Opener.
This will be the first of six meetings between the two teams. They will actually play each other four times in the first three weeks, before not playing each other again until January.
