After coming off a historic year, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines start up their 2026-27 campaign with Main Camp this weekend at the Waywayseecappo Arena.
From August 28th to the 30th, more than 45 players will be competing for spots at the annual Main Camp presented by the Rossburn Hotel.
There will be six games throughout the first two days which starts on Friday at 4:00pm. Then the annual Joe Brandon Cup will be played on Sunday at 12:00pm.
There will be three teams which will be given colour designations, but will also be named after former Wolverines players. The Yellow squad will be named after the only NHL drafted Wolverines player, Sean Collins. The red team will be named after fan favourite, Shane Goodrunning. The black team will be named after former NHLer and Wolverine, Cody McLeod from Binscarth, MB.
The teams will be released to the public at the start of camp.
