Wolverines Meet Oil Capitals In Preseason Finale

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will cap off their 2019 Preseason schedule on the road in Virden on Saturday night against the Oil Capitals.

With 27 players remaining with the Wolverines, the team continues to whittle down numbers ahead of the clubs season opener in Neepawa on Friday night.

Through six preseason games, the Wolverines have racked up four wins and two losses with their most recent outing ending in a 5-3 victory over the Neepawa Natives earlier in the week.

Thomson Phinney is expected to get the full start in net on Saturday night.

For the Oil Capitals, tonight’s matchup concludes their preseason schedule in which they’ve gone 2-2-0-1 through five games. It’s expected that Virden will ice close to what their opening night roster will be.
