The Waywayseecappo Wolverines almost walked out of the Roy H. Johnston Arena with another point or two, but fell apart in the last half of the third to lose 4-2 to the Northern Manitoba Blizzrad.
Quincy Supprien scored twice as a lead with 11:37 to go for the Wolverines vanished the rest of the way.
After the first period there was no scoring, as the Blizzard outshot the Wolverines 10-4.
The second period is when the scoring finally got started, when Marlen Edwards scored on the powerplay on a 4-on-3.
With just over five minutes left in the second period, Jaxon Grosdidier got his sixth of the year, becoming the first Wolverine not named Griffin Ayotte to score against the Blizzard.
In the third period, the Wolverines took a lead when Dru Mushumanski went in on a breakaway and beat the Blizzard goaltender, Taye Timmerman.
But it was just over a minute later, when Quincy Supprien scored on the powerplay to tie it up once again.
Then at 12:42 of the third period, Isaac Tomchak scored to give the Blizzard a lead.
The Blizzard put it away at the 17:38 mark, when Supprien scored once again to make it a final 4-2.
Jase Wareham was good once again, stopping 33 shots in the game.
The Wolverines will next face the Winnipeg Freeze on Tuesday at 7:30pm for the first home game in two weeks.
