The Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Swan Valley Stampeders return to action on Saturday night in Swan River to finish off their back to back.
The Wolverines dominated the Stampeders on home ice on Friday by the score of 7-1, extending their win streak to six games in the progress.
After the result of Friday, the Wolverines have moved up to first place in the league when it comes to powerplay percentage. They were a perfect 2/2 on Friday against the Stampeders.
In the playoff picture, Waywayseecappo still sits one point back of Dauphin for first in the West, but with a game in hand.
For Swan Valley, they now only sit one point up on Virden for third in the West, and three points up on Neepawa for a playoff spot.
In the team’s five matchups so far, the Wolverines lead the season series 4-1, but their only loss was in Swan River when the lost 6-1 on October 2nd.
The two teams will finish the season series next week.
