Wolverines look to bounce back vs. Kings

In what was billed as a Battle for First in the West, the Dauphin Kings walked away from the first two games of their showdown against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, with two dominating victories.

In the first two of four games featuring the two teams, the Kings walked away with two wins by a combined score of 10-4.

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines walked into the weekend with the most goals in the league, but was shut down by the Kings defence over the weekend. That included on the powerplay, where they were only 1 for 12.

Meanwhile the Kings powerplay was rolling, with a 4 for 9 conversion rate over the two games.

Even with a lopsided weekend, the Wolverines could very easily turn the page and get things back on track with the next two, scoring the last two goals in Saturday’s game.

After this weekend’s games, the two won’t play again until February in 2022.
