The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be hosting the Neepawa Titans in an afternoon game, as school kids from around the area travel to the game.
The annual school game is expected to bring in 500 kids from around the area, as the Wolverines look to get back to their winning ways after losing on Saturday in The Pas.
The Wolverines split the past weekend, after beating the Swan Valley Stampeders 5-0, before losing 3-2 to the Northern Manitoba Blizzard.
For Neepawa, they played only one game, hosting the Winnipeg Blues, and winning 4-1.
The two teams met just last week, with the Wolverines winning 5-1 in the annual Truth and Reconciliation Game. The Wolverines stormed out to a 3-0 lead after just the first period in that game.
In the early parts of the season, the Wolverines trail Neepawa by three points in the West Division standings, but with two games in hand.
Leading the way for the Titans is Mason Hartley, who has 7 goals this season, leading the MJHL.
The interesting matchup of the day will be the Titans powerplay against the Wolverines penalty kill. Last week, when the two teams played, the Titans were coming into the game scoring at a 50% clip, but they have dropped to 37.5%, good for 2nd in the league. But they will go up against a Wolverines team that is leading the league on the kill with a 94.1% clip. The have only let in one goal shorthanded through the season.
This will be the second of six meetings between the two teams, and they will not meet again until December 7th in Neepawa.
