Wolverines Host Natives In Home Opener

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines return home on Saturday night for the clubs 2019-20 MJHL Regular Season Home Opener.

After picking up a 4-1 win over the Neepawa Natives on Friday night in Neepawa, the club will look to start the season with a pair of wins in the home and home series.

The Wolverines got off to a quick start on Friday night thanks to a pair of first period goals from 20-year-old Defenceman, Jack Kennedy. When called upon, Thomson Phinney stood his ground as was solid in the Wolverines net during the win.

Jaymes Knee was a force for the Wolverines all night long, notching a goal and assist in the win.

Lonan Bulger scored his first career MJHL goal during the second period on a point shot that found its way to the back of the net after it was deflected.

Expect Neepawa to come out of the gate with an extra jump in their step following Friday nights loss to the Wolverines.
