The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be on home ice for the first time in two weeks, as they host the Winnipeg Freeze.
The team is coming off a good weekend in The Pas when they took two points out of the weekend against the top team in the West Division, the Northern Manitoba Blizzard. They won 3-2 in a shootout on Friday, but lost 4-2 on Saturday.
As for the Freeze, they will be coming into the game with a 1-7-1-2 record, but have looked better as of late, getting points in their last three games. They upset the Dauphin Kings with a 3-1 win, before losing two in extra time, 6-5 to Niverville and 3-2 to Portage.
It will be a big week for the Wolverines as they take on the Freeze and Virden Oil Capitals on Sunday, as November will be tough one as they will be playing top teams throughout.
Waywayseecappo is four points back of Virden with four games in hand in for the West Division fourth and final playoff spot.
This will be the first of four games between the two teams this year. They will not play again until January.
