Wolverines Host Blizzard In Preseason Opener

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines open up their seven-game, MJHL Preseason schedule at home on Monday night with the OCN Blizzard paying a visit to the Waywayseecappo Arena Complex.

After a very intense weekend of training camp, the Wolverines youngsters will hit the ice looking to make a great impression on the organization.

For the Wolverines, they will dress an all-rookie line up which features five of their six draft picks from this year. Luke Robson, Braden Keeble, Miguel Bouvier, Ethan Penner, and Caden Zaplitny will all take to the ice for the first time in a Wolverines jersey.

The 2003 class will see Brandt Young, Curtis Muir, local Cole Mentuck, Tyson Smith, Josh Thompson, Cameron Jones, Guy Rozin, and Myles Sobry.

Six players from the 2002 age group will take to the ice, including Marcus Whitecloud, Beau Kennedy, Matthew McLeod, local Christian Gambler, Andrew Boucher, and Carl Ingalls.

The lone 2000-born suiting up for the Wolverines will be free agent invitee, Trent Keewatin.

While the Wolverines will ice a young roster on Monday night, the OCN Blizzard lineup will feature eight 2000-born players, seven 2001’s, one 2002, one 2003 and one 2004-born skater.
