Wolverines head to The Pas for doubleheader

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are finally back in action, as they head to The Pas for a difficult doubleheader.

It’s the first game that the Wolverines have played since Tuesday October 15th, when they lost 5-4 to the Dauphin Kings. The team finds themselves on a three game losing streak.

As for the Blizzard, they headed out East to take on the Steinbach Pistons and Selkirk Steelers, losing the first game 6-2, before beating the Steelers 3-2.

It’s been an up and down month for the Blizz, with them winning 5 of 8 games this month, but dropping one of the games to the Winnipeg Blues.

Since the Wolverines haven’t played in over a week, they find themselves tied with the Winnipeg Freeze for the least amount of games played on the year. Because if that, they are six points back of a playoff spot, but do have four games in hand on the Virden Oil Capitals.

The Blizzard lead the way in the West Division, but only by two points on the Dauphin Kings, and they have played one more game so far.

The two teams will play Friday and Saturday night at 7:00pm, and it will be the last time the Wolverines go to The Pas this season unless the two meet in the playoffs.
