Wolverines finish first half West Division schedule this weekend

After what will be 20 games to start the season, both the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Neepawa Titans will finally play the East Division. But first they will finish their four-game series against each other.

The two teams will play each other to finish off their first half season series before heading to Portage la Prairie for the MJHL Showcase for three days.

Last weekend in the teams first two games against each other, the first game ended in a comeback victory for Neepawa, winning in overtime 6-5. The next night in Neepawa, it was an exact opposite type of game with a 2-0 Wolverines win.

Both teams are in the same scenario as they were last week, with the Wolverines still behind the Dauphin Kings for first in the West by one game. Neepawa is still last in the West, but is only two points back of 3rd place, still fighting for playoff spots with Virden, Swan Valley and OCN.

The first game is in Neepawa this weekend on Friday, with the finale finishing off in Waywayseecappo on Saturday.

After the weekend, both teams will play two teams from the East Division in the showcase, with Neepawa taking on the Winnipeg Freeze on Monday at 10:30am and Portage on Wednesday at 10:30am.

The Wolverines will get two primetime games, playing the Winnipeg Blues at 7:30pm on Tuesday and Steinbach on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
