The Waywayseecappo Wolverines dropped the second half of a back to back against the Swan Valley Stampeders by a score of 5-1.
After scoring the opening goal, the Wolverines let in five unanswered goals for their second loss of the preseason.
Ben Roulette was the Wolverines first goal of the preseason in the second period when he made a few nice moved on the way to a 1-0 lead.
But the Stampeders tied it up six minutes later when Callum Halls scored on a breakaway and beat Jase Wareham.
Swan Valley took the lead with two minutes left to go in the period, as Darius Makse scored with a backhander.
In the third period, it was all Stampeders as Alex Walicki, Griffin Ayotte and Ashton Cure all scored, with the last two happening on a four minute powerplay.
The Wolverines outshot the Stamps 33-30, but most of the shots came in the first half of the game.
Waywayseecappo’s next pre-season game will be in Yorkton on Wednesday, 7:30pm Saskatchewan time, against the Terriers in an SJHL-MJHL showdown.
