After a scoreless first, the Kings got on the board first when Cayden Glover was able to find himself wide open in the slot, and buried it.
The Kings jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Anthony Bax scored on the powerplay after a pass from Alex Senf. The shot went post and in.
The Wolverines got on the board when Aiden Moser scored from a shot from the point that looked like it hit someone on the way in.
But just one minute later, the Kings regained their two goal lead when Blake Boudreau walked right in and beat Allen with his wrist shot.
In the third period, the Wolverines could only muster 9 shots, but had a few chances to get back in the game, but couldn’t get anything by Austin Seibel.
Seibel stopped 24 shots in the win, while Allen stopped 41 shots in the loss.
As for the powerplays, the Kings were 1/3 with the man advantage, while the Wolverines only had one powerplay the entire game, which was in the first period, and couldn’t score.
