Wolverines Auto-Protect Chipelski, Miller

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have auto-protected two players ahead of this weekend’s 2024 MJHL Draft.

The Wolverines have selected Adam Chipelski of the Yellowhead Chiefs Under-18 team, and Nathan Miller of the Parkland Rangers Under-18 team.

Each MJHL team is given the opportunity to list two players born in 2008 from their respective home zone. Both Chipelski and Miller will no longer be eligible for the upcoming 2024 MJHL Draft, which takes place on Sunday, June 2nd.

Chipelski, from Foxwarren, Manitoba, had 10 points in 44 games last season for the Chiefs. The defencemen had 30 points in 34 games this year before in his final season in the under-15 league.

Miller, from Russell, Manitoba, had 7 points in 44 games as a defencemen in the Manitoba Under-18 Hockey League last year.

With the two auto-protected picks, that leaves the Wolverines with five draft picks in the first five rounds at the moment. The sixth round pick was previously moved to the Winnipeg Freeze.
