Wolverines announce staff ahead of season

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have announced their hockey operations staff before the 2025-26 season.

The entire coaching staff from last year will be returning in some form this year, as the team will be led by Head Coach and General Manager Landyn Cochrane. Cochrane led the team to a 25-30-2-1 season after getting hired three weeks before the season. The team made the playoffs for the first time in three seasons, before getting beat in the first round to the Dauphin Kings in five games.

In assistant roles, Ryan Regel will be returning to his role behind the bench as an assistant coach.

Tayler Thompson will be shifting to a player development role specializing in strength and conditioning and on-ice skills.

Waywayseecappo-born Dylan Tanner has been added as an assistant coach.

Returning for another year as Trainer, equipment manager and Bus Driver, will be Jason Hart. Hart has been with the team for seven years, and has also worked at MJHL events for the years as well.

Off the ice, Kevin Monkman has been promoted to Assistant General Manager and Head Scout.
