The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be hosting their third annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, December 13th against the Neepawa Titans.
After two successful years of fans throwing bears on the ice after the Wolverines first goal, they will be doing it once again, with bears that are collected going to various child care facilities in Waywayseecappo and around the area. Last year it went to the Waywayseecappo Day Care, Waywayseecappo Child Family Services, Rossburn Daycare and Russell Christmas Cheer Board.
For the game on the 13th, anyone that brings a teddy bear to the game will be allowed to come in for $5, and any kids 12 and under will get in for free with a teddy bear.
Rossburn Home Hardware will be selling bears at their store, with $5 for smaller ones and $10 for larger bears. All proceeds will go to the Rossburn Christmas Cheer Board.
In the first year of the Teddy Bear Toss, the team collected 186 bears, with the next year, the amount of bears collected was higher at 223.
Game will start at 7:30pm, and fans are encouraged to show up earlier to get in their seat before the first goal is scored.
