Wolverines Acquire Veteran Goaltender Colin Ahern

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have acquired 20-year-old Goaltender, Colin Ahern from the AJHL’s Drumheller Dragons in exchange for future considerations.

Ahern joins the Wolverines after splitting this season between the Soo Thunderbirds in the NOJHL and Drumheller Dragons where he most recently called home.

In 12 games with Drumheller this season, the Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin native went 4-6-1-0 with a 2.88 goals-against average and .899 save percentage.

The move gives the Wolverines a veteran presence in the net moving forward and solidifies the crease. The acquisition also puts the Wolverines at a maximum of seven, 20-year-old players.

The Wolverines would like to welcome Colin and his family to the organization.
