Wolverines acquire Maddox Mason

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are excited to announce that they have traded for defencemen Maddox Mason from the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Devon Xtreme for a player development fee.

The Red Deer, Alberta product played in eight games this year, putting up two assists. Last year he played for the Red Deer Chiefs in the AEHL Under-18 League, scoring five goals and getting 14 assists in 38 games.

Mason played for Team Alberta in the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in2023, leading the team in points with three goals and five assists.

Mason will be with the Wolverines this weekend as the Wolverines take on the Steinbach Pistons on Saturday at 7:30pm, and Sunday against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard at 6:00pm.
