The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have acquired forward Carter Haney from the Selkirk Steelers in exchange for defenceman Noah Bonds, a player development fee and future considerations.
Haney, an 18-year-old from Winnipeg, recorded 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points in 53 games with Selkirk during the 2025–26 MJHL season.
He also helped Team Manitoba win back to back gold medals at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in 2025 and 2026. Haney had three goals and six assists for nine points in 2025, then eight goals and eight assists for 16 points in 2026.
The Wolverines welcome Carter to Waywayseecappo and thank Noah for his time with the organization. We wish him all the best in Selkirk.
