To our Waywayseecappo Wolverine Family;
With great happiness and caution, We are pleased to advise you that our Home 2020-21 Manitoba Junior Hockey League Season will commence with an exhibition game tomorrow (October 2nd)*. The past several months have been like no other in our history. With the support of Chief and Council, Manitoba Health, Waywayseecappo Health, The MJHL, Wolverines staff, and many volunteers and community leaders, we have prepared our building and community with the safest return to play program possible.
We have continued to educate ourselves with accurate information provided to us by Return to Play partners. There will be many changes this season. Each change has been considered, with the end result being focused on safety and health for our community members and those who will join us to watch our games in person. We want to thank all Waywayseecappo community members for allowing us the opportunity to bring hockey back in a safe and enjoyable setting.
Throughout the next several days, we ask that you follow our social media platforms closely. We will be passing along to you our planned protocols and up to date education on Covid-19. We will be playing a very different schedule this year. This reflects less travel and fewer games. Months and 1000’s of hours have been spent by so many to promote a safe return to play and a sporting experience that puts you, the fan, in a safe environment.
The entire Wolverines Hockey Club has done everything it can to return safely to play. We now wish you to join us for what we believe will become one of our best years in franchise history; thank you.
