The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will begin their 2025-26 campaign with a couple games against the Virden Oil Capitals over the weekend.
The Wolverines are building off a 25-30-2-1 season last year. They qualified for the final spot in the MJHL Playoffs before losing in five games to the Dauphin Kings in the first round.
The team they were battling with until the final day, was in fact the Oil Capitals, which finished with a 24-31-2-1 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since their first year in Virden.
The two teams will play in both of its respective home openers.
