WEEKLY OUTLOOK: Wolverines on the road for three games

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines will be taking a break from the Waywayseecappo Arena this week as they head on the road for three straight games.

Entering the week on a seven game win streak, and points in 13 straight games, the Wolverines will head up North for their final road trip of the season.

The Wolverines head to The Pas to take on the Northern Manitoba Blizzard on Tuesday. The teams have played four games against each other, and the Wolverines lead the season series 2-1-1, but have managed to lose both games in The Pas in October.

The next night, they’ll be in Swan River to take on the Stampeders. It is another location they the Wolverines have yet to win in this season. They lead the season series 3-2.

The Wolverines will then have two days off before they head to Niverville on Saturday to take the on the league-leading Nighthawks. They trail the season series 2-0, but they have not played since early December.

The Wolverines are one point away from clinching a playoff spot. They either need a result or a Swan Valley loss the rest of the season, so the earliest that can happen is on Tuesday. But the bigger deal is the race for 2nd place in the West Division. They are two points back of Dauphin with a game in hand. They also sit four points up on Neepawa for 3rd in the West, with the Titans having one game in hand.
