The Waywayseecappo Wolverines finish the 2025-26 season this upcoming week, and it’ll be a gruelling finish with three games in three days.
After their overtime loss to the Dauphin Kings on Friday, the Wolverines hopes for the 2nd seed in the West Division will need a miracle, as they will need to win all three games and the Kings will have to lose both of their remaining games in regulation as they take on the Blizzard and Blues.
The main concern for the week, will be trying to keep the 3rd seed in the West, as they have a three point lead on Neepawa. The Titans finish the season with three games against Virden, Waywayseecappo and Swan Valley. A combination of three points won by the Wolverines and dropped by the Titans will secure the 3rd seed for the Wolverines.
Wawwayseecappo starts the week with their final road game against the Neepawa Titans on Friday. This might be the game that solidifies the 3rd seed for Wayway or could make their weekend even tougher if it goes south. If Neepawa was to win on Tuesday against Virden, all the Wolverines would have to do is beat Neepawa to win 3rd.
On Saturday, the Wolverines host the Virden Oil Capitals. Virden has already clinched first in the West, but could be fighting for seeding in case of second round matchups.
Then on Sunday, to finish off the season, the Wolverines will host the Northern Manitoba Blizzard at 6pm.
