WEEKLY OUTLOOK: Wolverines finally play West Division

It’s been a long month, but the Waywayseecappo Wolverines are finally going to play some rivals once again.

This week, the Wolverines will play three games in four days, starting on Thursday against the Selkirk Steelers at the Waywayseecappo Arena. It will be the final game of a ten game stretch for Waywayseecappo as they played all East Division teams. They have gone a miserable 2-7 in the stretch so far, but their two wins during that time has been against the Steelers, including their last game, a 5-4 overtime win.

But then the Wolverines will take on some rivals, as they host the Neepawa Titans on December 13th for the annual Teddy Bear Toss game. It will be the second game of the season between the two teams. The Wolverines beat the Titans 5-2 in just their third game of the season.

Then the next day, the Wolverines will head to Dauphin for a late Sunday afternoon game against the West-leading Kings team. It will be the first time the two teams have met since the Kings beat the Wolverines in five games in the first round in last year’s playoffs.
