Titans win a penalty-filled affair

The Neepawa Titans edged out the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 4-3 in overtime after a Connor Brust OT goal.

Brust put it over the glove of Tresor Wotton to finish the game 1:55 into overtime.

The Titans came back from 3-0 down after the Wolverines scored three goals in the opening frame in less than three minutes to end the period.

Goals were scored by Troy Hamilton, Eli Reimer and Tristen Bear.

Neepawa started their comeback in the second with a goal by Cade Bendsten at 8:50.

In the third, it was Will Highet with the goal to make it a one goal game. Later on Cameron Trimble scored to tie it up with 1:16 left to play.

Neepawa ended up having 9 powerplays in the game, while the Wolverines had 4. In total there were 58 penalty minutes given to both teams.

Tresor Wotton stopped 26 of 30 shots for the Wolverines, while Tyson Gregory stopped 27 of 30 for the Titans.

The Wolverines will continue their pre-season schedule with a trip to Swan River to play the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday at 7:00pm.
