Titans rally in third to beat Wolverines

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines were 12:10 away from securing a fifth straight win, until the Neepawa Titans rallied for three straight goals to finish their win streak.

Cooper Kasprick, Hayden Stocks and Cody Gudnason all scored in the final 12:10 to erase a 2-1 deficit and win 4-2 on Tuesday Night.

Gavin Renwick stood tall to stop 30 saves for the win.

The Titans were the last team to beat the Wolverines before they won four straight back on December 20th 2022.

The Wolverines were in the lead or tied until Stocks scored with 3:55 left in regulation. Carson Baptiste got his 24th goal of the season, and Nolan Grier scored in the early part of the third period to make it 2-1 before the Titans comeback.

Neepawa also used special teams to help with the win, killing off all three Wolverines powerplays and scoring two powerplay goals.

The Wolverines league leading penalty kill has now let in five goals in the past three games.

Waywayseecappo will now head to Dauphin for the start of a back to back on Friday night, before hosting the Kings on Saturday.
