Shindle coming to the Wolverines

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are excited to announce the acquisition of forward Kolton Shindle from the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

The 20-year-old from Carmen, Manitoba is playing in his fourth Junior ‘A’ season, and has played in 20 games so far for the Bobcats, scoring 3 goals and 6 assists.

Shindle has played three seasons in the MJHL, playing two seasons with the Portage Terriers from 2018 to 2020, winning a league Championship in 2019 getting 6 points in 15 games. The Terriers went all the way to the RBC Cup that season.

He then played with the Winkler Flyers in the shortened 2020 season, getting 6 points in 8 games.

Shindle says he is very excited to join the organization, and hopes to bring his championship experience to the team.

“I hope to bring a hard work ethic and leadership into the room,” says Shindle. “I want to bring some offence and a good two-way game to the club.”

Coach Taylor Harnett says this is a great move for the organization.

“Kolton brings much experience not only in a regular season but in the playoffs. Having a player in our locker room that has won a big championship is very important to us,” says Harnett.

“He plays the game the right way in speaking with him can’t wait to put on the uniform and help us with our continued success.”

Shindle is from Carmen, and played with the Pembina Valley Hawks in the Manitoba Under-18 Hockey League, even playing with current Wolverine Andrew Boucher for a couple of games.

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines would like to welcome Shindle to the Wolverines organization.
