Rookes, Hicks named MJHL Players of the Month

Two members of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines were honoured for their player in the month of October, being named some of the MJHL Players of the Month.

Sebastien Hicks has been named RBC Player of the Month for his 9 goal 13 assist month, which has led to him leading the league in points with 28. In October, Hicks earned five multi-point performances, including a 2 goal – 4 assist outing in Winnipeg.

Kurt Rookes has been named Safe Work Manitoba Defencemen of the Month with a 13 point (1G, 12A) month. Returning to the MJHL after two seasons in the WHL, Rookes has fit back in seamlessly for the Wolverines and put together a strong month of October. Rookes’ best performance came in a win over the Oil Caps where he scored the game winner and added a pair of assists.
