RECAP: Wolverines point streak snapped in Portage

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines point streak came to an end after the Portage Terriers won the first half of a home and home, 5-2 at Stride Place.

After a back and forth first half of the game, the Terriers ran away with it in the second half of the game, including putting the game away in the third period with two goals in under a minute by Owen Witt and Scott Cousins.

The Wolverines got goals from Aidan Herring (shorthanded) and Griffin Ayotte (powerplay), as they came back from one goal deficits to start off the game, but their pushback ran out later on in the game.

The Terriers were doing a Teddy Bear Toss at the game, and Koy Funk scored just 53 seconds into the game to start off those festivities.

Jase Wareham had 26 saves in the loss, while Mitchell Kathler had 27 saves in the win.

Both teams were 1/4 on the man advantage in the game.

The two teams will meet on Saturday night in Waywayseecappo, before reconnecting once again next week, in Waywayseecappo to finish off three games in two weeks.
