RECAP: Wolverines lose in overtime to Flyers

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines win streak came to an end, but the point streak continues after a 2-1 overtime loss to the Winkler Flyers.

Isaac Deveau scored the overtime winner at the 3:42 mark in the extra frame, after a shot from the point deflected past Mariko Bercier.

Bercier was the hero of the night for the Wolverines, getting 39 saves in the game to help the Wolverines get a point.

Winkler scored the first goal of the game in the second period when Blake Matheson banked it off of Bercier to give themselves the lead.

But the Wolverines tied it up early in the third period, when Dru Mushumanski broke away from the defence to bat Liam Ernst.

The Flyers outshot the Wolverines 41-20, which included a dominating 21-4 shot total in the second period.

The Wolverines will next play the Portage Terriers on Friday to start a home and home weekend which concludes on Saturday in Waywayseecappo.
