RECAP: Wolverines lose by only goal

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines last game of 2025 didn’t have many fireworks, and only one goal was scored as the Dauphin Kings got the 1-0 shutout.

Bryson Yaschyshyn stopped 23 shots and Nicholas Zaharias scored a shorthanded goal just 2:34 into the third period as the Kings skated away with the low scoring win.

Mariko Bercier stopped 45 saves in the loss, as he kept up his outstanding play during the game.

The Kings had their Teddy Bear Toss night in the game, and had to wait until early on in the third to score their goal that rained down the bears.

The Wolverines were heavily outshot in the game, losing the battle 46-23.

Waywayseecappo did have their chances late in the game though, as they were inches away from tying the game in the dying minutes.

The Wolverines next game will be on January 6th as they head to Dauphin for the third straight game to play the Kings.
