The Waywayseecappo Wolverines home woes continued after a bad 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Blues.
The team dropped to 2-3 on the season at home ice after giving up four straight goals unanswered after scoring the first goal of the game.
After an early goal by Brodie Heimbecker at the 1:27 mark of the first period, the Blues rattled off two powerplay goals from Matthew O’Sullivan and Eloi Robert before the break.
In the second period, the Blues got two more goals from William Marceus and Ryden Duchon to make it 4-1 heading into the second intermission.
The Wolverines mostly took control in the third period, but couldn’t find the back of the net until Sebastien Hicks scored with 1:08 left in the game to make it 4-2.
The Wolverines special teams was ineffective in the game, giving up two powerplay goals and not scoring on five chances this year.
The team will head to The Pas on the weekend to take on the Northern Manitoba Blizzard for back to back games.
